AKA[IEUAN]

aka[ieuan] is a Brooklyn-born and based electronic musician/DJ building live-recorded, hypnotic techno out of an unusual mix of influences: underground rap, alt-rock and metal, and classical guitar. Across aliases including Mr.M4UH, abletonlivee, and yion, he has spent six years moving between DnB, Tech-House, and Techno, accumulating over 3 million streams.

His sound is melancholic and propulsive at once, shaped by live acts like Luke Slater, UFO95, and Rødhåd. He has shared lineups with Funk Tribu, Julia Govor, Lawrence Kurt, KUKO, Diossa, and Cult Member, with releases on Synapsa Music, Diffuse Reality, Impulse Control, and Agape Music.

He recently self-released a collaborative EP with Maeksll, featuring remixes from Tonyy, GCOD, and Dunes of Dawn. He is also cofounder of 4UHNYC, a label, show series, and network built to develop the NYC techno sound from a homegrown lens.
